The task of creating an HVAC Component is initiated from the HVAC Window.

From the HVAC Window, select PDMS Equipment Nozzle in the Categories dropdown list.
Select Circular Nozzle in the Available Type dropdown list to display the HVAC Equipment Nozzle window:

You are required to input the following dimensions:
- Name(Ref)
- Select a Duct/Nozzle Shape, using the Duct/Nozzle Shape dropdown list
- Duct width
- Duct depth
- Overall Length
- End Flange Width
- End Flange Length
- Flange Thickness
To visualize how the dimensions equate to the actual piece of HVAC, select Picture to display a detailed drawing for HVAC Equipment Nozzles Catalog Element.

Note: The fields will be pre-populated with default dimensions. These dimensions are governed by the details defined in the HVAC Catalog. The Arrive Extension default is auto but can be changed by the user to a required dimension.
Specify a type of joint to use for the Arrjoint (Arrive Joint). For a detailed description, see Create / Modify HVAC Components.
In the Connect list, select Connect or Unchanged:
- Select Connect (default when Create is selected) - connects the piece of HVAC to the previous one.
- Select Unchanged (default when Modify is selected) - positions the piece of HVAC at the co-ordinates 0.00.
Note: Unchanged is usually used, when Modify is selected, it does not connect the piece of HVAC but positions it at 0.00, in effect in a floating position.

Modify Orientation

You can modify the orientation of the existing nozzle (see HVAC Attributes - Orientation).

Modify Position

You can modify the position of the existing nozzle (see HVAC Attributes - Position).

Select Defaults to reset all the fields back to when the HVAC Equipment Nozzle window was opened.
Select Apply to create the HVAC Equipment Nozzle component and close the HVAC Equipment Nozzle Window. You will be returned to the HVAC Window.
Select Dismiss to discard all the field changes and close the HVAC Equipment Nozzle window.
