Hull Mark

A Hull mark is the outcome of a projection of a hull text on either a hull surface or a plane panel. Hull marks are created with the function Hull Tools>Hull Mark>Create and a number of parameters like projection direction and text direction can be set. The hull mark can be one of two main types depending on the manufacturing process:

  • Plates cut from characters/symbols in the hull mark, for later welding onto the plates to be marked.

  • Welding strings along all contours of the characters/symbols in the hull mark.

Hull mark objects can be presented in 3D views with Insert>Model.
