Powering Calculations

The data required for the calculation of resistance and propulsion results depends on which prediction method is chosen (see Powering Calculations - Resistance Estimation). The data may include drafts, block and midship area coefficients, bulb and transom areas, chine information, metacentric height and the vessels LCB and center of gravity. Required Parameters for Resistance Calculation Methods gives a list of which from the above are required for each prediction method.
