Cable Data

The Cable Data utility provides cable and route information which can be used to perform various operations including routing a selected cable or routing multiple cables.

1. Select Utilities > Cable Data, from the main menu to display the Cable Data window.

   

2. Selecting Reload cable zones populates the Zones Containing Cables list with all the zones containing cables.

   1. Right-clicking in the list displays a pop-up menu with two options.

      

      Both options are the same as those available directly on the Cable Data window.

3. Select from the Load Cables by Start/End Ref Equipment Zone dropdown list which zone should be used to load the cables into the Cable list.

4. (Optional) Selecting a Cable Zone Name from the list and clicking either Load cables for selected zones or Load un-routed cables for selected zones re-displays the Cable Data window with a populated Cable List.

   Load cables for selected zones	Loads all the routed and un-routed cables within the selected zones to populate the Cable List.
   Load un-routed cables for selected zones	Loads only the un-routed cables within the selected zones to populate the Cable List

5. To route a cable(s), select the required cable(s) in the Cable List, and then select the cableway zones from the Cableway Zone Name list.

6. Select Route Selected Cable(s). Routed cables can be un-routed by selecting the required cable(s) in the Cable List and by clicking Unroute Selected Cable(s).

7. Checking the Highlight in 3D View checkbox highlights the selected cables in the 3D graphical view.

8. Right-clicking within the Cable List displays a pop-up menu.

   

   The menu options are:

   List of Associated Cables	Opens the List of Cables window.
   Print Preview	Opens the Print Preview window.
   Export to Excel	Exports the grid data to Excel.

Cableway Zones

The Cableway Zones tab lists the zones containing cableways available for routing cables.

• Right-click on a zone to Navigate To the selected zone in the hierarchy.

  

Route Information

The Route Information tab displays the routing information for the selected cable.

• Selecting an entry navigates to its location in the hierarchy.
