The power demanded by each thrust unit is calculated in the program from the required thrust. The thrust-power relationship is given by:

is the thrust in tonnes.
Default values for the coefficients a, b and c are taken from available data. They are included in the program for fixed longitudinal, fixed transverse and steerable thrusters, and are given in the Default Thrust-Power Relationship table:
