Purpose:

To allow the user to define a "automatic" point, derived from a free-hand position.

Given a free-hand position, the system derives up to six points in six different ways as controlled by the six default keywords AUTO_MODEx, where x = 1,2,3,4,5 or 6. Each of these key words may contain the code for a certain point definition mode. Supported definition modes are:

  • 3 - Node Point

  • 5 - Symbol Connection

  • 8 - Arc Center

  • 10 - Mid Point of segment

  • 13 - Intersection

  • 23 - Event Point

The resulting point will then be the one of the six points that is closest to the free-hand position. However, if the minimum distance exceeds the value of the default keyword AUTO_DIST, the free-hand position is used instead.

Instructions:

Indicate a desired position in the drawing.
