Editing Curves and Points

  • Last UpdatedFeb 01, 2023

The Edit menu allows points and curves to be moved and curve shapes to be altered by altering the position of the polygon vertices of a curve. Point types can also be altered and angles assigned to tangent and knuckle points. Points can be inserted relative to a chosen reference point and they can also be inserted by the coordinate of the new point being interpolated from the current curve. Points can also be sorted to facilitate subsequent operations. The Prefit command uses an automatic algorithm to fit a B-Spine curve to the current data points. The curvature curve can be displayed to show the effects of the interactive on-screen changes.

The Patch and Curve Editor (PACE) can be used to interactively edit a set of curves at the same time.
