Figure 4:22. Containers Dialog
This dialog allows you to create and edit a number of container definitions simultaneously. The grid control supports full copy/paste and undo/redo facilities. However, once the Reset, Apply or Patch buttons are clicked, you may not undo any operations.
To create a set of default containers, based on ISO standards, you can click the Reset button.
Note:
This will delete any existing containers.
To add a container, at least the Type, Length, Width and Height must be entered.
Having entered data for one or more Containers, then the Apply button must be clicked to physically create the containers. At this points, the containers listed on the dialog are checked against all existing containers. Any containers that have been modified are regenerated and any new containers are created. If any containers have been deleted from the grid control, then they are deleted from the Surface model.
The Container Tree control is updated following the modification or insertion of any containers.
An existing patch may be used as the basis of a container. This can be done by selecting the patch from the Tree Control and dropping it on to the Patch button, or by clicking the Patch button and selecting the required patch from the active view. If a patch PAT is selected, then a container CONT_PAT is created and the dimensions of the container are taken from the dimensions of the patch. All other information is set to zero and must be updated by you.
Note:
The Undo facility is initialized following this operation. Subsequent changes to the
grid values can, of course, be undone until the next Reset, Patch or Apply button is clicked.
