The points buffer is a temporary area of storage which may be used to hold an additional set of data points. An example of its use could be to INTERPOLATE a series of curves at selected positions and store the results in the points buffer. These points can then be copied into the Create Curve dialog.
The following operations add points to the points buffer window when the Enabled check box is selected:
-
The Coordinate option on the Query page of the Edit dialog.
-
The Interpolate option on the Query page of the Edit dialog.
-
The Curve Intersection on the analyze Curves dialog.
-
The Number and Spacing options on the Girthing Curves page of the analyze Curves dialog.
-
The Create option of the Deck page of the Deck Generation dialog (points representing the deck at side curve are created).
-
The Intersect option on the Check page of the Surface Patches dialog.
