Copy or rename a curve

  1. Select the curve in the Curve Tree.

  2. Select the Right Mouse button and selecting the Copy or Rename button.

The Copy/Rename Curve dialog is used to copy or rename a curve to a different name/position and curve type.

  3. Select the destination curve type, its position or name (if appropriate) and view (for a destination cline).

Important: When a curve is copied/renamed to a different curve type and the destination type has a constraint (for example, sections are in a fixed X-plane, the stem profile is in the centreplane) then the source curve is altered to adhere to the constraint. For example if a pline is copied to a section, all X values pertaining to the pline are changed to the chosen section position. If the constraint causes a degeneracy in the destination curve, then the copy/rename will fail.
