When defining patches using data from a well-faired set of curves, it is often best to uncheck Use Tange Targets. When defining patches using smoothing only, check Use Tange Targets.
If Use Tange Targets is checked and the tangency conditions along a particular boundary are wrong (smooth when it should be a Knuckle, or vice versa), check the type of active curve that the boundary is derived from. This determines the default setting for whether or not tanging is performed (no if it is a Knuckle, yes otherwise).
