Flush Extracts

To update the parent extract or database with saved changes made to extracted elements, either:

• select the elements from the list and click Flush in the Extracts group of the Manage tab, or

• click State in the Extracts group of the Manage tab to display the Show Extracts State window (see View Extract Claim State of Elements). Select the All Claimed Elements tab, select the elements from the list on this tab, then right-click and select the Flush option from the menu that is then displayed, or

• in the Engineering tab of the Database Explorer (see Explore the Database), right-click on an element, group or world and select the Flush option from the menu that is then displayed.

The Flush Extract window is then displayed:

The window lists the attribute groups associated with the selected elements, and the columns in each attribute group.

To flush an attribute group, ensure the appropriate Select checkbox is checked (this is the default setting).

If required, enter a comment regarding the flush in the Comments field.

Click OK. The parent extract or database is then updated with any saved changes made to selected elements/attribute groups. Changes that have not been saved are not flushed.

The selected elements/attribute groups are not released from the extract by this procedure.
