Modify Cable Section

You can move a cableway segment to a new position, re-route cables, and re-dress Materials.

  1. Select Modify > Cableway Segment from the main menu bar to display the Move Cableway Segment window.

  2. Select Pick and identify the Cableway Segment to be moved. You are then prompted to Pick on the segment to be moved in the 3D view.

    The name of the Identified Segment and the allowed Offset direction is displayed in the Move Cableway Segment window.

  3. Set the offset, which can be done in two ways:

    • Input the offset

    • Increment

  4. Alternatively, select Align. You are then prompted to Pick to define position. You must pick a position to align to in the graphic view.

  5. Before moving the segment, you can select the following options:

    Re-route Cables

    Cables are re-routed automatically.

    Re-dress Materials

    Cableway is re-dressed automatically.

    Display Hole Manager

    Displays Hole Manager window.

Show Issues

  1. To display any issues which arise as a result of the move, select Show Issues to warn users that the segment has associated items which may be affected by the move.

    The Associated Items (all route attachment points), Type and Status of the selected segment are displayed.

  2. Select Move Segment to move the selected segment to the new location.

  3. Select Discard Changes to discard any changes and close this part of the Move Cableway Segment window.

  4. Right-click on a Cable to display a popup menu which allows you to:

    Navigate

    Navigates to the selected cable in the explorer.

    Highlight

    Highlights the selected cable in the graphical view.

    Unhighlight

    Removes the highlight from the cable in the graphical view.

    3D View

    Allows you to:

    Add Cable

    Adds the selected cable to the 3D view.

    Add Connected

    Adds the connection to the selected cable in the 3D view.

    Remove Cable

    Removes the selected cable from the 3D view.

    Remove Connected

    Removes the connection of the selected cable from the 3D view.

    Export to Excel

    Exports the cable grid data to Excel.

    Print Preview

    Opens the Print Preview window.

  5. Right-click on a Branch to display a popup menu which allows you to:

    Navigate

    Navigates to the selected branch in the explorer.

    Highlight

    Highlights the selected branch in the graphical view.

    Unhighlight

    Removes the highlight from the branch in the graphical view.

    3D View

    Allows you to:

    Add Branch to the 3D view.

    Remove Branch from the 3D view.

    Export to Excel

    Exports the branch grid data to Excel.

    Print Preview

    Opens the Print Preview window.

  6. Right-click on a Rnode or Ratta to display a popup menu which allows you to:

    Navigate

    Navigates to the selected Rnode or Ratta in the explorer.

    Highlight

    Highlights the selected Rnode or Ratta in the graphical view.

    Unhighlight

    Removes the highlight from the Rnode or Ratta in the graphical view.

    Export to Excel

    Exports the Rnode or Ratta grid data to Excel.

    Print Preview

    Opens the Print Preview window.
