Equipment Number Dialog

This module calculates the Equipment Number according to classification society rules, and reports the minimum specification for anchors, cables, mooring and tow lines.

Note:
The requirements concerning equipment, are the same for all classification societies. However, the schemes for assigning equipment letters may differ. Currently, the program uses the Det norske Veritas (DnV) scheme.

Equipment Number Dialog

The dialog allows you to enter the main particulars according to the rules, and the grade of steel to be used for the chain cable (1, 2 or 3).

If the Use Wind Profile option is checked, then the defined wind profile will be used to calculate the profile area needed to determine the Equipment Number, otherwise the area given in the edit box will be used.

Additional items should be included in the Superstructure table, but not if they have already been included in the main profile area.
