Import Specifications in Design Application

The Notifications window in AVEVA Marine displays the Update notification received from AVEVA Catalogue Manager. Select the specification and click Update Database to import the specification.

The ERM Values column in the Notifications window displays a summary of the changes.

After the import is completed, the Status column displays whether the import is successful. If the import is successful, an Acknowledgement notification is sent to AVEVA Catalogue Manager; if not, an Error notification is sent.

Important: If you are importing a specification, say SPEC1, that has a reference to a bolting specification, say SPEC2, then you must first import SPEC2. If you try to import SPEC1 without importing SPEC2, the import will fail and an error message is displayed.
