The points buffer is a temporary area of storage which may be used to hold an additional set of data points. Some commands interact with this points buffer via the use of the /BUFFER qualifier. An example of its use could be to INTERPOLATE a series of curves at selected positions and store the results in the points buffer, these points can then be used to CREATE a knuckle curve. The contents of the points buffer is visible in the Points Buffer Window.
