Create Assembly Properties Table

  • Last UpdatedNov 06, 2025

The PML task function !!assyProperties(!array) will create the properties table below new VIEW element with its SPPURP attribute set to 'PROPVW', in a LAYE with its SPPURP attribute set to 'ASPROP'. This is to provide the ability to manipulate the table after its creation as a single entity if it contains multiple elements.

The table is added to a drawing by creating a SLAB for its 2D representation that references an SYTM for the 3D Assembly element. The SYTM contains lines, text and intelligent text. The hash codes will automatically extract the relevant data directly from the ASMBLY.

The SYTM found by the application, contains a series of intelligent text hash codes that will extract the properties data from the Assembly. It also has a reference to another SYTM via a SYMB that contains the lines and text that represent the table itself.

In the example, the SYMB references the SYTM /PropertiesTableFrame/Type-1, which looks like below.

The TEXP elements are superimposed on top of this to produce the final SYTM. The reason for this is so that the same table layout can be used with a different set of hash codes as required.
