Units

The system operates internally in working units of meters. However, input and output units can be meters, millimeters, feet, inches or imperial (feet, inches and sixteenths). Choice of working units depends on the user's required input/output units. If the user requires metric, then working units should be selected as meters, whereas if the user requires imperial then working units should be selected as feet. Input/output units may be changed at any time using the DEFINE UNITS command. However, working units cannot be changed at a later date.

Additionally the system allows the specification of X values, interactively and from input files in either Station, CD or Frame mode.
