Dredgers

Dredgers (particularly "hopper" type) may be assigned freeboard reduced to 5/8 Type B; ½ (B-60) or ½ (B-100), subject to a minimum freeboard of 150 mm. Such vessels are subject to special regulations regarding operating conditions, strength and stability (all vessels), quick discharge of cargo (5/8 type B) and to one or two compartment floatability (½ (B-60) and ½ (B-100) respectively).

These assignments have not been included in Calc. They can be calculated, by you, by defining the ship by its main type (B, B-60, B-100 ) and the applying manual corrections to the tabular freeboard thereafter.
