How to Create Drawings using the Default Settings

  1. Search for Assemblies.

    1. By default the scope of search if the complete MDB indicated by the *. To change this, access a relevant Design element in the Explorer and click on the button (I). The Assembly element to search under text box (A) will display the name of the current element.

    2. Choose the filtering type Those not drawn from the drop-down list (B).

    3. Click on the button (J). Once the results are available, the grid will be populated with the details of any found Assemblies and will contain the following information:

      • The Assembly name.

      • Whether the Assembly has any valid contents. The symbol indicates that the Assembly has members, whilst the symbol suggests that the Assembly is probably empty.

      • Whether the Assembly has been drawn or not. Where Assemblies do not yet have an associated drawing, the word No will be displayed.

      • Whether the current user has access to modify the related drawing if there is one, otherwise a dash - is displayed.

      • The mode in which the processing will generate the drawing. For Assemblies that do not have any associated drawing, this can only be to Create the drawing. However, if there is an associated drawing this may be Update or Regenerate.

  2. Select the Assemblies to detail from the resulting report, by clicking on the grid using the Ctrl key as necessary to multi-select.

  3. Click the Process button. The drawings will be automatically created in the default Registry, and the first one will be displayed in the Drafting canvas.
