Create Wall

  1. To create a wall with a constant thickness, select Create > Walls on the Main Layout Tasks window to display the Wall Definition Tasks window.

    The Wall Definition Tasks window allows the user to set the basic Wall attributes and select a Wall definition method from a list of options.

    Basic Wall Attributes

    Thickness

    Enter a value for the Wall thickness.

    Height

    Enter a value for the Wall height.

    Justification

    Select a justification from the drop-down list.

    Wall definition methods

    Derive from selection

    Allows the user to derive the Wall definition by selecting an element.

    Define points

    Allows the user to derive the Wall definition by defining points for the Wall.

    Derive from graphics

    Allows the user to derive the Wall definition by graphically picking in the 3D view.

    Define Points Explicitly

    Allows the user to derive the Wall definition explicitly.

    Modify Points

    Re-Pick Point

    Allows the point set in the spin box to be re-picked in the 3D view.

    Insert Point after

    Allows a point to be inserted in the 3D view after the one set in the spin box.

    Remove Point

    Allows the point set in the spin box to be removed from the 3D view.

    Create wall

    Creates the CTWALL element in the database and displays the Wall Modification Tasks window.

    Back to layout tasks

    Displays the Main Layout Tasks window.

    Back to detail tasks

    Displays the Wall Detail Tasks window.

    Return to main tasks

    Displays the Room Design Main Data window.

  2. Having set the attributes and defined the Wall, selecting Create Wall creates a CTWALL element in the database, shows the created Wall in the 3D view and displays the Wall Modification Tasks window.
