Purpose:

This function is used when collected models in the drawing shall be presented in one of the following ways:

  1. Sectioning (only applicable for hull models)

  2. The total volume

Instructions:

  1. In the Tools menu, click Model, then Present.

  2. First, the user is requested to collect all models that should participate in the presentation. This is done by indicating models one by one. To collect all models in a view, first click Options and then indicate model views one by one.

  3. The collecting phase is completed by Operation Complete.

  4. The next Multiple choice window gives two ways of presentation. The user can select:

    • Sectioning

The system needs a projection from which to create a subpicture with a section of model parts. This projection is either fetched from an existing view, or defined explicitly (by clicking the Options button). When the projection is chosen, the user must give the plan of sectioning. This plan is perpendicular to the screen and passes through a line defined by two points in the selected view. When this is done, the next options are available:

      • Display

      • Shows on the display zoomed subpicture with section of the selected model parts.

      • Save subpicture

      • Saves the subpicture with User given name of Subpicture DB.

      • Add to drawing.

      • Adds the subpicture to the current drawing as subpicture level 1

    • Volume

The system calculates the volume of selected model parts and presents the result on the display.

    Options:

The drafting default keyword "AUTO_OUTFITTING_LEVEL" has impact on this function for outfitting models. Please see the documentation of the drafting default keywords for further information.

    Result:

The models in the drawing is presented as per user requirements.
