Use a Consistent Naming Convention

To make it easier to set up cross-references between design items, such as when setting rules involving specification references to, say, associated sub-equipments, it is important that you adopt and maintain a meaningful naming convention. If not, you will soon forget which element is which and, worse, other users will have great difficulty in following the logic of your designs.

Give the template a Description as well as a Name, since this will be displayed as an aid to the user when the template is selected as the basis for a newly created design element. Within the Design Template application, it is the Description which is listed in the Template Browser, while the Name is listed in the Design Explorer.
