Scenario

Here follows a complete scenario showing the required activities by the user. References to the sections where the corresponding step is described in detail are also listed.

  1. First of all, specify the rules that should be applied when setting position numbers.

  2. Create an input file accordingly and establish the "autopos object".

This is normally done only once. For further information, see below.

  3. Confirm that the entries POSNO_PREFIX and POSNO_SUFFIX in the Hull Planar Modelling default file contain all values that indicate final position numbers, if these are to be used.

  4. Also set SBH_AN_POSNO.

See Paragraph Final Position Numbers above.

  5. Create the input file by using Hull Planar Modelling.

A detailed description of the input language can be found in Activation of Position Number Setting below. Normally the input file is created automatically from objects picked interactively.

  6. Start the program autopos, either by trigging this from Interactive Hull Modelling or directly from the job launcher reusing the input file.

Please see Setting Position Numbers for further information.
