Accept Curve Dialog

Figure 4:19. Accept Curve Dialog.

Clicking Accept will save the current curve to the working design. The user can change the curve type by selecting the As checkbox and selecting a new type from the dropdown list. The user may then select a new name/position for the curve, as appropriate. If the user does not want to save the curve then click Cancel, allowing further modification of the curve to take place.

Important: When a curve is accepted as a different curve type and the destination type has a constraint (for example, sections are in a fixed X-plane, the stem profile is in the centreplane) then the source curve is altered to adhere to the constraint. For example if a pline is copied to a section, all X values pertaining to the pline are changed to the chosen section position. If the constraint causes a degeneracy in the destination curve, then the accept will fail.
