It is supposed that the lowest level of user control is at the panel level, that means, it is not possible to calculate the area of only plates and profiles, and to exclude brackets, The only factors that would affect the result are if a certain component is within or without the given limits or if it is on the selected side of the surface.
This is also true for the shell. The shell profiles will always be included if the surface on which they are located is calculated.
