Sorting data points

The order in which points are used to fit a curve can be changed from the Data Points page of the Data Bar.

A group of points can be sorted in ascending or descending X, Y or Z value. This is particularly useful if a new curve is created using the New Curve dialog (see Create New Curve Dialog) and the points are not in the desired order.

Re-order a group of points

1. Select the points in the Data Points page of the Data Bar. It is not necessary to select the whole line; selecting the X/Y/Z cells is sufficient.

2. Click the Right Mouse button over the column in which the sort is required (X, Y or Z) and click either Ascending or Descending.
