Tufts of the Inverse Radius of Curvature

The simplest way to display tufts of curvature is for planar intersection curves, such as sections.

View Tufts

  1. Use the Model Cuts dialog, accessed via the icon.

The system displays the required intersection curves.

  2. Select OPTIONS from the graphics window in which the curves are displayed.

  3. On the Display page, select Curve Curvature.

  4. Select OK.

The view is redrawn with the tufts shown.

    1. To adjust the number of tufts per surface and their magnification, open the Display Modes dialog.

    2. Modify the values in the Curvature Sampling Grid and Curvature Magnification boxes as needed.

Note: The tufts are drawn toward the center of radius; therefore, to match the result shown in Lines, negate the magnification value.
