The Assembly Department toolbar, shown below in Figure 2:3 below, is used to set the database location in which the automatically generated drawings should be created.

The drafting database world can own Departments and Registries which you will use to organize and classify your drawings, see Figure 2:4 - The Department database hierarchy. In order that the Assembly Drawing application can determine where to create your drawings, you need to indicate the relevant Registry. When you first start the application, the first Assembly Department and its first Registry will be selected. If there are no Departments marked for Assembly use, then the system will create one in the first available database. |

If you do not wish to create your drawings in the default location, then you can select a different one (as long as others exist) by following the steps below;

With the first option Department shown, from the second drop-down option list select which Department you wish to use.

Select the first option Registry and then from the second drop-down option list select which Registry you wish to use.
If there are no suitable Departments or Registries for you to use, then you can create some new ones yourself, by following the instructions described in section How to Create New Hierarchy.
