The mode of operation for this page is set using the appropriate option, Create or Edit. Depending on the mode, various options will be disabled as appropriate.

In Create mode, the ID field is used to enter the identifier for the instance to be created. While in Edit mode the ID drop down list is used to select the required instance for editing.
An Instance is based upon a particular group, which is selected via the Basis Group drop down list.
The orientation and location of an instance in the design is determined by values in Rotation and Position panels.
Position
X, Y and Z values are entered to modify the location of the instance. The values are applied in relation to the basis group’s current position with respect to the global origin.
Rotation
Used to change the orientation of the instance by entering the rotation angles (in degrees) about the X, Y and Z axes. Remember these are applied to the basis group’s current orientation with respect to the global origin and that rotations are performed in the order X, Y and Z.
The Layer can be specified when creating a new instance.
Click the Apply button to create a new instance (Create mode) or to change the definition of the currently selected instance (Edit mode).
