A new form has been introduced at Hull & Outfitting 12.1.SP5 to allow the division of HVAC into multiple Branches. A new form is accessed via the Divide HVAC Main into Multiple Branches option in the Utilities menu.

The Main Duct area of the form displays information pertaining to the current duct and, although the field are not editable, the user is able to rotate through 90 degrees about the End Point using the available button. It should be noted that the End Point Direction is always fixed.
The middle section of the form is related to the required divisions and number of new Branches (it is also possible to create a single branch within the Duct by selecting the available checkbox).
Multiple Branches are described as a 2 x 2 arrangement (forming 4 branches) up to a maximum arrangement of 5 x 5. On setting the required number of Branches the form automatic populates based upon an equal division - this may be altered as required by editing the Division values.

The bottom section of the form is related to the Previewing and Summary provision prior to creating new database elements (i.e. BRCO and BRAN elements) on clicking Apply.
The Summary area displays the sizes and positions of the original and new branches. The area will also display any reason Apply may not be active

Note:
There is a tolerance of +0, -5mm on the duct sizes.
The following is an example Preview:

In some instances it may be necessary to create and position each Branch. In this scenario the ‘Create Single Branch Only’ option is used and offsets are manually input into the X and Y offset fields

On creation of the database elements (on clicking Apply) the user may now proceed to select a new Branch and create a first element.
In the example below 4 BRCO elements (Default length 0) and 4 connected (named if possible) Branches have been created.
