Handling of Profiles

Profiles are used in many different situations in the design and construction of a ship. Depending on their function, it is, in most cases, suitable to treat them as different component types.

The actual Hull Modelling system creates information only in the internal hull structure and, therefore, the shell profiles (longitudinals/transversals) are generated in a separate module. They are supposed to exist in Hull Modelling and they are referred to from input.
