In this dialog you generates (and thus displays) the sectional area curve of the selected envelope (in the Envelopes list) and any selected compartments (in the Compartments list) listed for the particular envelope. Use the Calculation Geometry option to automatically select just the compartments marked for release as Calculation Geometry.
This is a useful tool for assessing if the compartment definitions (intended for use in AVEVA Initial Design Hydrostatics, which will be marked for release as Calculation Geometry) are correct. By setting the draft above the top of the envelope and selecting the appropriate compartments, the SAC curves for the envelope and compartments should match. If the compartments’ SAC rises above the envelope’s SAC, some space in that area is being accounted for more than once. If the compartments’ SAC dips below the envelope’s SAC, some space in that area has not been included.
Once the Draft and Trim have been entered through the entry fields, click Generate to create the SAC.
In addition, the current SAC view, together with a properties table and a list of selected envelopes and compartments can be printed by selecting the pop-up menu item PRINT.
