Get Started with Initial Design Surface

To follow the initial introduction and become more familiar with Surface, open an existing design and examine its contents.

Open an existing design

1. Start Surface via the Windows Start menu.

   The main Surface window is displayed along with one or more graphics display windows. The Surface window is used to access all the pulldown menus, dialog box icons and the command interface, see Screen Based Reference Guide for a full description.

2. Firstly, ensure that the Container project is selected outside of Surface.

3. Within Surface, Select FILE \ OPEN from the pulldown menus along the top of the Surface window.

   The Open Design dialog opens.

   

4. Select the existing container design within this project.

5. Select Open.
