The plate data bank will be updated with the parts. In computing their geometry this function inserts the actual geometry of cutouts, holes and notches. The case that a seam passes across a cutout is properly taken care of.

The excess along the limits and the inner seams are taken into consideration before the cutouts and notches are inserted. The gaps, if any, in the bevel definition are subtracted in a similar way as a negative excess.

All information related to the geometry may then be adjusted to compensate for shrinkage. The final bevel information is evaluated and stored along the outer geometry of the plate part, including continuously varying bevels.

Finally, information of a more general character is also transferred to the plate parts, like assembly information, material thickness and quality, transformation vector,

The names of the generated parts are derived from that of the panel in a way specified by the conventions.
