Snap to Grid

There is a snap to grid facility which may be turned on and off. It is controlled from the dialog launched by selecting or EDIT \ SNAP TO GRID....

When enabled, the facility affects all interactive editing of point entities (curve data points, curve control points, patch control points ). When being dragged or nudging, points snap to the nearest point of a grid consisting of square cells, the size (side length) of which is specified in the dialog. This makes precise positioning of points easier.

Note: This grid is not visible, and is not the same thing as the visible scale grid that may be displayed (see Gridline Display), although their units may coincide.
