Obstructions

It is possible that in the generation of a bay definition, certain containers may, in fact, be obstructed by internal structure, deck cranes, In this case, you would have to remove these containers from the bay definition using the approach just mentioned. However, this is not very user-friendly and certainly not automated.
Therefore, you can, if desired, mark any surface as an obstruction prior to generating the bay. Any container generated that intersects with the obstruction(s) is then automatically removed from the bay definition!
To mark a surface as an obstruction, the obstruction must first be created as a surface within Surface/Compartment. All surfaces, as displayed under the Surfaces node of the Tree View, are also displayed under the obstructions node of the Container View.
Here, any of the surfaces can be marked as an obstruction by checking the state icon.
The bay(s) may then be regenerated, taking into account the possibility of obstructions.
