Hull and Outfitting

Making Framework "Ready for Production"

There are two attributes controlling the transfer of frameworks:

  • PDNAME

  • OPTBLO

The PDNAME must be given if a framework shall be considered for transfer into production.

The attribute PDNAME shall contain the production name for plates and profiles using the following syntax:

Plate name = <PDNAME>-<plate number><side(P or S)>

Profile name = <PDNAME>/S<profile number><side(P or S)>

In case the framework contains bent plates (BPANEL), then naming of plates is made with an additional prefix:

Platename = <PDMANE>_Z<running number>-<plate number><side(P or S)>

The attribute OPTBLO is optional. It may contain a hull block name and if it does, the panels used when transferring frameworks are permanently stored below this given block. These hull panels are not considered in clashing routines, but can be modified with standard hull tools. A new transfer will check the timestamps on the stored panel and the framework. The stored panel will be used if its storing date is later than its framework origin.
