The hull transfer items are all based on the equivalent batch input formats, that means, the hull schema for planar panels and for curved hull, plate and profile nest items the corresponding XML schemas.
All references to named objects can be replaced with a for the receiving project relevant reference. Only the name of the reference can be replaced not the type of the reference. For example, a reference to a surface cannot be replaced with a reference to a planar panel. It is even possible to replace references to objects not possible to export such as surfaces and blocks.
Objects exportable/importable by design reuse:
-
Reference Surfaces (RSO)
-
Hull curves
-
Seams and butts
-
Points and Planes (stored)
-
Longitudinals and Transversals
-
Shell stiffeners
-
Curved plates
-
Curved panels
-
Planar Panels
-
Hull Production. Plate Nesting
-
Hull Production. Profile Nesting
Prerequisites for the import of hull transfer items are:
-
Receiving project must exist and be set-up with correct data bases and with an initiated hull model.
-
Receiving blocks need to exist before importing.
-
Referred surfaces need to be available in the receiving project.
-
Standard objects must be set-up in the receiving project in a way that they contain at least the same standards as in the exporting project.
-
IP, Default and Restriction files must be available and contain data that allows regeneration of all transferred object types.
-
Manufacturing packages and folders need to be set-up to receive the imported nests.
Limitations:
-
Transfer between projects with free naming and conventional naming is not supported.
-
Transfer of design panels into single view projects is not possible.
-
Production parts are not possible to transfer.
