Drawing Editor Database

A Drawing Editor database is an AutoCAD drawing file containing layers that are allocated to Draft or Isodraft drawing elements. You add to this your own AutoCAD layers and drawing entities.

AutoDRAFT uses special text fonts and linestyles in addition to the standard AutoCAD supplied fonts and linestyles. The fonts and linestyles supplied with AutoDRAFT match those used in Draft and Isodraft.

Note:
All Draft drawing elements are on layers named ‘GT_’ followed by a number. You should not create layers whose names beginning with ‘GT_’, otherwise any items on those layers will be deleted by an Draft drawing update operation.
