Methodology of Generating a Surface using PACE

This sections presents a suggested methodology for using PACE to generate a surface from a set of curves. For clarity, references to various menus and dialogs are kept brief. For more detailed information of this sort, see Generating a Surface using PACE.

The best methodology to be applied when using PACE depends on the initial data and the desired end result. There are many ways in which PACE can be used. Two extremes of methodologies arise from having either:

  • a complete and fair set of lines which require only patching, or

  • when there are a few, or even no, construction curves with the intention of creating a set of surface patches but not necessarily a full set of curves.

Here we will describe the first of these two approaches, the starting point being a complete set of lines.
