Dynamic Positioning Calculations

Vessel particulars (including windage areas), thruster locations/magnitudes and rudder positions are the main input requirements for the Dynamic Positioning calculations. All other data is defaulted, although you may override any of these defaults. Other data includes vessel speed and external forces, wind speed-wave height relationship, thrust-power relationship, forward speed effects on thrusters and environmental coefficients.

The one exception is where the Dynamic Positioning of a semi-submersible is required. In this case, the environmental coefficients must be supplied by you since defaults cannot be supplied.
