FILE \ NEW...

Enables the user to create a new design.

FILE \ OPEN...

Brings up the Open Design dialog for the user to access an existing design.

FILE \ SAVE

Saves the active design using the same design name.

FILE \ SAVE STATE

Saves the active design and makes a copy (a state) which can be restored later (see Restoring States in User’s Guide to Managing Initial Design Data).

FILE \ SAVE AS...

Brings up the Save Design dialog for the user to specify a new name for the design.

FILE \ USE

This gives the following OFFSET DATA option:

Input britfair design data into the design.

FILE \ RELEASE

This gives the following HULL FORMS option:

\ HULL FORMS

Release hull form definitions for further design downstream (in Compartment, Structural Design and Hull).

FILE \ USER PARAMETERS...

Displays the User Parameters dialog (see Copy Curve Dialog for details). It is used to configure the setup, axis configuration, frame table, units, project,

FILE \ EXPORT...

Displays the Output dialog (see Export Dialog for details), which allows the design to be exported to others system using the different formats provided.

FILE \ SPLIT DESIGN...

Displays the Split dialog, which allows the vessel to be split into two halves and saved as two separate designs.

FILE \ JOIN DESIGN...

Displays the Join dialog, which allows the current design to be joined with a separate design forming a new design containing the complete vessel.

FILE \ MACRO EDITOR

Displays a macro editor which allows the user to write new macros or load existing macros.

FILE \ PLOTTING...

Displays the Plotting dialog (see Plotting Dialog for details). Used to setup and create a lines/body plan plot file.

FILE \ PRINT SETUP...

Used to setup the default printer.

FILE \ 1, 2, 3, 4

Allows the user to access the 4 most recently closed Lines designs in the current project.

FILE \ EXIT

Prompts the user to save or cancel the current design before exiting from Lines.
