Create Wall Joiners

Once the user has selected a Wall from the grid control at the top of the Wall Detail Tasks window, the Joiner Definition option under the Create section of the window will be activated.

  1. Selecting Joiner Definition displays the Create Wall Joiners window.

This window allows the user to choose a Joiner specification and create either a single Joiner or multiple Joiners.

Select Joiner Specification

Displays the Select Wall Joiners window.

Specification

Populated automatically on selecting a Joiner specification from the Select Wall Joiners window.

Create Single Joiner

Select checkbox to create a single Joiner.

Spacing

Set a spacing between multiple Joiners using the spin box.

Start Height

Enter a start height for the Joiner(s).

End Height

Enter an end height for the Joiner(s).

Wall Justification

Select the required wall justification from the drop-down list.

Create Joiners

Creates the Joiner or Joiners.

Back to details tasks

Displays the Wall Detail Tasks window.

Select a Joiner Type

  1. Clicking Select Joiner Specification in the Basic Attributes section of the Create Wall Joiners window displays the Select Wall Joiners window.

    From this window the user is able to choose the required specification for the Joiner.

  2. Selecting Apply Changes on the selection window populates the Specification field on the Create Wall Joiners window.

    Create a Single Joiner

    • Checking the Create Single Joiner checkbox adjusts the layout of the window so that the user can create separately defined Joiners at each point on the wall’s path.

      The Wall Point field allows the user to select a point of reference from the drop-down menu. The Start Height and End Height fields allow the user to define the length of the Joiner, and whether or not it starts from the floor surface. The Wall Justification allows the user to select the justification from the drop-down menu and the user is able change the Distance from Wall Point.

    Create Multiple Joiners

    With the Create Single Joiner box unchecked, the user is able to create a set of Joiners along the entire wall at a defined spacing.

    The Spacing between Joiners can be set using the field. The Start Height and End Height fields allow the user to define the length of the Joiners and whether or not they start from the floor surface. Select the required Wall Justification from the drop-down list.

    If the value of the spacing is set to 0, or less than 500mm, then the Joiners will be created at a default of 500mm apart.

    Create the Joiner or Joiners

    • Selecting Create Joiners creates a Joiner or group of Joiners at their defined positions along the walls path.
