Purpose

Automatically create a surface from a set of predefined curves.

Syntax

AUTOFIT $N < /PORT < /TOP > > < /NAME $W >

Description

Automatically creates a surface from a set of curves. By default only the starboard side of the vessel is created. However, using the /PORT option, both sides are created. Additionally, a top may be added using the /Top option.

The default name for the derived surface is MAINHULL. However, this can be changed by using the /NAME qualifier.

Command Qualifiers

$N

The dimension of each patch.

/PORT

Used to create both the port and starboard sides of the vessel.

/TOP

Used to skin a top across the vessel to create an enclosed volume.

/NAME $W

The name of the defined surface patch.
