Calculation Geometry (CXML File)

The new Initial Design Calculation Geometry file conforms to the international XML standard and will in future be the preferred method of transferring geometry and other fixed data between AVEVA Marine modules. This file can store all supported types of compartment data, together with other data such as openings, deck edge and profile points, compartment categories, This geometry model is produced in the geometry modelling facilities of AVEVA Initial Design, such as Surface/Compartment, and cannot be physically changed in any way within Hydro. Once imported into the design, the geometry model becomes embedded in the CALC file and the original data file is no longer required for any activity within the particular design. Although the actual geometry itself cannot be changed within Hydro, it is possible to change the names of surfaces, compartments and spaces, and to redefine structural and damage permeabilities. These modifications may then be re-released and modifications used within the Surface/Compartment design.
