Description of Format

The file is separated into multiple sections, with the format shown below:

Record key Description

[BM & SF LIMITS]

Number of BM & SF limit sets, followed by data for each set. A set has a name followed by a number of limit records, each of which consists of an x-location, sheer force, hogging and sagging bending moment limits.

[AXIS SHIFT]

Axis position data - X, Y, Z, Swing Angle

[BALANCE TOL]

Balance tolerances for draft and trim, maximum number of iterations allowed, increment for between min. and max. heel angles.

[WETTED SURFACE]

Wetted surface calculation trigger and factor to be applied to the calculated wetted surface.

[DRAFT MARKS]

Position of draft marks and underside of keel thickness.

Note:
This is obsolete but supported for the import of legacy files.

[DRAFT MARKS AFT]

The number of draft mark points aft, followed by the X,Z coordinates for each point.

[DRAFT MARKS FWD]

The number of draft mark points forward, followed by the X,Z coordinates for each point.

[PROPELLER DETAILS]

All propeller details - aft from AP, shaft height, diameter, required immersion

[WATER DENSITY]

Water density.

[STEPPED GZ]

Stepped GZ option: 0=no, 1=yes

[HEEL RANGE]

Lower and upper range angles.

[WATER ON DECK]

Water on Deck options - height, significant wave height.

[INTACT CRIT]

Intact stability group name from CRITERIA data file.

[DAMAGED CRIT]

Damaged stability group name from CRITERIA data file.

[WAVE]

Type of wave and wave profile data - Type (0=none, 1=sinusoidal, 2=trochoidal), Height, Length, Crest from pivot point.

[HATCH DETAILS]

Height of hatch above moulded depth of ship, breadth of the hatch, total hatch length within L/4 either side of midships.

[PROTECTED OPENINGS]

Number and co-ordinates of protected openings.

[UNPROTECTED OPENINGS]

Number and co-ordinates of unprotected openings.

[DECK EDGE]

Number and co-ordinates of deck edge points.

[PROFILE]

Number of points on wind exposed profile and co-ordinates of profile.

[CONTENTS]

Number of content types, together with for each content type: name, type (0=liquid, 1=solid, 2=grain), density, grain angle (for type 2).

[CATEGORIES]

Number of categories, together with the identifier and name of each category.

[ASSIGNMENTS]

Number of assigned compartments and the compartment ID, together with its assigned group.
