Open a Schematic Diagram

To view the schematic diagram in which an element is located, select the element in a list, and click Diagram in the View group of the View tab, or right-click on the element in a list and select the View Diagram option on the menu that is then displayed.

If the element is associated with a diagram, the Diagram Viewer is then displayed with the diagram displayed. See the Diagrams User Guide for further information.

If the element is not associated with a diagram, an error message is displayed.
To browse for and open a schematic diagram, either click Diagram in the View group of the View tab when an element is not selected in a list, or click on the arrow under the Diagram option and select View Diagram from the menu that is then displayed.
The View Diagram window is then displayed, from which the required diagram can be selected and opened in the Diagram Viewer. See the Diagrams User Guide for further information.
Diagram Viewer - Actions Tab
When the Diagram Viewer is open, an extra tab, Diagram Viewer - Actions, is displayed. The tab has the following options:

Open |
Used to select and open a schematic diagram. |
View Group |

Zoom In |
When this tool is active, left-clicking the mouse on a diagram will zoom into that diagram to the next standard zoom level. |

Zoom Out |
When this tool is active, left-clicking the mouse on a diagram will zoom out from that diagram to the next standard zoom level. |

Zoom To Selection |
Used to zoom to a selected area of the diagram. Select this button then select the area by left-clicking on one corner of the area and then dragging the cursor to the opposite corner of the area. |

Zoom To Window |
Used to zoom out so that the entire diagram is visible. This option is also available from the menu that is displayed by right-clicking on a diagram. |

Auto Zoom On External Selection |
Used to toggle the mode for auto-zoom. When this option is toggled on, selecting an element will zoom the diagram to display that element and highlight it. |
Bookmarks Group |

Set Bookmark |
Used to save the current view of a diagram. Saved views are known as bookmarks. |
|
Previous Bookmark |
Used to set the view to the bookmark that was set before the current bookmark. |
|
Next Bookmark |
Used to set the view to the bookmark that was set after the current bookmark. |
|
Remove Bookmark |
Used to delete the current bookmark. |

Clear All Bookmarks |
Used to delete all bookmarks. |
