A framework can be used in production-related functions and routines within the hull module.

The table below gives an overview of how frameworks are selected for hull functions to get hull production related information calculated and stored:

Function

Interactive support

Batch support

Automatic Generation of Parts (Ppanparts)

There are two alternative ways.

  • Right-click the framework in the drawing and select function Generate Parts

  • Use the Select function within HULL PPI and select frameworks.

The panel syntax can be used also for frameworks. Name is given with prefix slash, for example,

PANEL,'/PPM-TEST2X';

In case the framework is without name or with a name not following the hull naming conventions that means, too long name or non-accepted character, the DB reference number shall be used, for example,

PANEL,'=24104/277536';

Parts List, Material Lists, Profile Sketch and List, Profile Nesting, Weight and COG and Plate interface

Use the Select function within HULL PPI and select frameworks (as described above)

Use the panel syntax as described above

Automatic Generation of Position Number

Use menu entry Frameworks when defining the scope to be calculated

The PANEL attribute in the SCOPE statement is used for example,

SCOPE /PANEL='/PPM-TEST2';

Name is given with prefix slash and names not following hull naming conventions are given as the DB reference.

Any framework belonging to an assembly can be calculated.
