About Material Mapping

A standard material, raw plate or raw profile is identified by a material Id in AVEVA ERM while a standard component in AVEVA Marine is identified by a component name. An AVEVA Marine component is stored in the catalogue in a structure defined by Section and Category.

You must map a standard material, raw plate or raw profile in AVEVA ERM to the standard components in AVEVA Marine. The key to this mapping is the ERM Material Type which is transferred as part of the fields transferred.
